A confidential reporting form is completed and submitted, and returns a confirmation. The report does not reach the compliance team, who therefore have nothing to investigate and no reason to ask. Before it went quiet the component that handled the form read what was in it and sent a copy elsewhere. The person who filed it believes they are protected.
